Polo del gusto, Pieve di Soligo, 2017

The “Polo del gusto” is a pavilion for information and expositions

A series of thin metal blades characterize the main glass façade. These elements define a strong vertical direction which contrast with the horizontal shape of the building and compliment the trees in the garden directly in front of the pavilion. The colour of the blades interact with both its shadows and the colours of the garden that change throughout the seasons. This leads to a light inside the building that is always changing. The interior of the pavilion is minimalistic. The flooring is made of polished concrete that looks like a Venetian terrazzo but with a more brutalist nature. Inside we wanted to achieve a chromatic purity - glass, metal and concrete – that frames the pre-existing structure and which celebrates the richness of this building deliberately leaving an abstract and momentary nature to it.
